Chilwell Manor has a thriving and welcoming Men’s Section with a full and varied programme of golf throughout the year.
Matches and Fixtures
Our Men’s matches are played primarily at weekends, with a few midweek fixtures each season. We enjoy friendly and competitive matches against a number of neighbouring clubs, offering great opportunities for sociable and high-quality golf.
Competitions and Knockouts
The highlights of our one-day events are the Spring and Autumn Meetings, which include both scratch and handicap trophies. Our Club Championship showcases the best players in the club, focusing on the scratch title.
We also run a full schedule of Winter and Summer knockout competitions, both singles and pairs, open to all handicaps. Regular Stableford, Strokeplay, and other competition formats run throughout the year, ensuring there’s always something for everyone to enjoy.

*Sunday Matches *
Sunday Matches – The Captain and Pro Challenge
From April to October, members have the chance to take on the Captain and Club Professional in fourball matchplay on selected Sundays. These matches are a long-standing tradition at Chilwell Manor and are always keenly contested in good spirit.

Roll-Ups, Social Golf, and Team Traditions
Roll-Ups and Social Golf
Roll-ups are a big part of life at Chilwell Manor. Our Wednesday 10 Hole Bash roll-up provides an open and friendly way to meet other members, enjoy a relaxed game, and share a drink and some food afterwards — particularly during the summer months.
The Bash Roll-Up also features a traditional end-of-season prize-giving and meal, recognising those who are most active in these friendly gatherings and celebrating the true spirit of camaraderie at the club.
Team Events and Traditions
Among our winter highlights is the Winter Eclectic, a popular competition that runs throughout the winter months and keeps members engaged with regular, enjoyable golf over the off-season.

Casual, Mixed Golf, and Membership Enquiries
Casual and Mixed Golf
For those who prefer a more relaxed approach, there’s always plenty of opportunity to play informal golf with friends. Two- and fourball play is easily arranged and encouraged throughout the week.
Our Mixed Golf Programme continues to grow, featuring regular roll-ups, knockouts, and matches against other clubs, as well as traditional mixed competitions often held on Bank Holidays.
