Who Can Join?
Every member of the club automatically qualifies as a Senior from their 55th birthday. Traditionally, it’s been a lively group of our male members, but ladies are always welcome to join in the fun and competition.
What’s on Offer
Our Seniors Section is one of the most active and welcoming groups in the club. The calendar runs from January to December, filled with:
Friendly inter-club matches from April to September — great golf and great company at local courses.
Weekly competitions played from the Yellow Tees, usually on weekdays.
Summer Stableford Series – seven handicap-qualifying rounds between April and October, with prizes each time and a grand series winner.
Five major Seniors trophies to compete for, including the Diamond Trophy, Veterans Trophy, and Ron Walton Seniors Open.
Winter team competitions each month from November to March (weather permitting), drawn to mix players and keep everyone involved.
More Than Just Golf
The Seniors Section is as much about friendship and community as it is about competition. The highlight of the year is the Seniors Annual General Meeting held in December, combined with our Christmas Cracker competition and a festive Christmas Meal — the perfect way to round off another season of golf and good spirits.
